How to Factory Reset an Alarm.com Smart Thermostat (ADC-T3000 / ADC-T2000)

The Alarm.com Smart Thermostat can be reset to its factory default locally at the thermostat.

Important: If the thermostat is currently enrolled in a Z-Wave network, it must be removed from the network before performing a factory reset. Resetting without exclusion will not clear Z-Wave network information.

Factory Reset Instructions

For the ADC-T3000:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Select SETTINGS.
  3. Select INSTALLER.
  4. Select CONTINUE.
  5. Select RESET.
  6. Select YES to confirm.

For the ADC-T2000:

  1. Press the Mode button to put the thermostat into Off mode. (No symbols will appear below the temperature display.)
  2. Once in Off mode, press and hold the Menu button until a version number appears.
  3. When the version displays, press and hold the Menu button again until RST appears on the display.
  4. When RST clears from the display, the thermostat has been reset to factory defaults.

After Reset

Once the thermostat has been reset, it must be reconfigured and re-enrolled into the Z-Wave network (if applicable). For detailed setup, see the resources below or contact True Protection support.
