Interact with a Z-Wave device from a 2GIG GC3

he 2GIG GC3 panel allows users to interact with Z-Wave lights, locks, thermostats, and garage devices locally at the panel. For information on adding Z-Wave devices, see Manage Z-Wave devices on a 2GIG GC3.

Note: Additional Z-Wave devices may be able to be added and controlled locally. For more information, refer to the device manufacturer.

To interact with Z-Wave lights from a 2GIG GC3:

  1. Tap Smart Home Controls.
  2. Enter a user code. 
  3. Tap Lights.
  4. Tap the toggle switch in the row with each light to turn the light on or off.

To interact with Z-Wave locks from a 2GIG GC3:

  1. Tap Smart Home Controls.
  2. Enter a user code. 
  3. Tap Locks.
  4. Tap the toggle switch in the row with each lock to lock or unlock the door.

To interact with Z-Wave thermostats from a 2GIG GC3:

  1. Tap Smart Home Controls.
  2. Enter a user code. 
  3. Tap ​​​​​​​Thermostats.
  4. Tap the arrows to adjust the temperature setpoint.
  5. Tap to set the fan to Auto or On.
  6. Tap to set the mode to OffHeatCool, or Auto.

To interact with Z-Wave garage devices from a 2GIG GC3:

​​​​​​​Important: Interaction with the Linear Z-Wave Garage Controller GD00Z-4 requires a 2GIG GC3 firmware version 3.0.2+. 

  1. Tap Smart Home Controls.
  2. Enter a user code. 
  3. Tap Garage Doors.
  4. Tap the garage door toggle switch to open or close the garage door.
    • When green, the garage door is open.
    • When red, the garage door is closed.
