User codes can be added to the 2GIG GC3 panel locally or remotely using Alarm.com. For information about adding user codes remotely, see Add user codes remotely. 

To add user codes locally using the 2GIG GC3 panel: 

1. Tap System Settings. 
2. Enter the installer code or master code. 
3. Tap Users.
4. Tap Add User +.
5. Enter the user's name, then tap Next.
6. Enter the new user code, then tap Next.
7. Enter the new user code again to confirm, then tap Next. This adds the user code to the panel. 
8. If the 2GIG GC3 is on firmware version 3.2.0+, the following steps must be performed for the user code to work properly: 
   
   ​​​​​​Important: By default, there are no Smart Areas selected for new user codes. Therefore, the new user code does not work to disarm the system until it is assigned partitions to access. 
    
   1. Once the user code is added, tap  on the user code that was just added. 
   2. In Smart Areas, tap to select the partitions the code can access.
