Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Disarming by Itself — Troubleshooting Guide
If your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 is disarming unexpectedly, there are two main settings to check: Bluetooth Disarming and Scheduled Arm/Disarm. Follow the steps below to identify and fix the cause.
1. Verify if Bluetooth Disarming is Enabled
The Qolsys IQ Panel 2 allows you to pair mobile devices via Bluetooth for automatic disarming when in range. If enabled, the event history will show entries like “Partition 1 Disarmed by John Doe’s iPhone.”
- Bluetooth devices appear in the customer’s equipment list as Peripherals.
- If the customer doesn’t want automatic disarming, disable this feature directly at the panel.
For more details, see: Configure Bluetooth Disarming on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 (available in the Support Hub).
How to Disable Bluetooth Disarming
- On the panel, go to Settings → Advanced Settings.
- Enter the installer or master code.
- Navigate to Devices → Bluetooth Devices.
- Edit the paired device and set Disarming to Disabled.
2. Verify if Arming/Disarming Schedules are Enabled
If the customer’s service package includes Scheduled Arm/Disarm, automatic disarming may be caused by active schedules. Check whether these schedules are set to disarm the system at certain times.
Schedules can be configured through Alarm.com, the Partner Portal, or the MobileTech app. Adjust or disable schedules as needed to stop unexpected disarming events.
Tip:
For reliable operation, always confirm whether disarming is triggered by a Bluetooth device or a scheduled rule before assuming a system malfunction.
