Qolsys IQ Panel 2 – Commercial Sensor & Device Names
Overview
This feature enables a set of preset commercial sensor and device names (in place of residential names) when installing devices into a Qolsys IQ Panel 2. It can be enabled or disabled at the panel or remotely via Partner Portal / MobileTech.
Requirement: Panel firmware 2.3.0+ is required for commercial names to be available.
Enable or Disable Commercial Names
At the Panel
- Tap Settings → Advanced Settings.
- Enter the installer code.
- Tap Installation → Installer Settings.
- Tap Commercial Sensor and Device Names to toggle On/Off.
Partner Portal / MobileTech
- Open Remote Toolkit → Command Catalog → expand Sensors.
- Select Use Commercial Sensor and Device Names.
- Choose Enable or Disable → Change.
- Allow a few minutes for the change to apply at the panel.
Tip: After enabling, add or edit sensors so installers can choose from the commercial list during enrollment.
