Change Temperature Units (°F/°C) on Alarm.com Smart Thermostats (ADC-T3000 / ADC-T2000)

The Smart Thermostat (ADC-T3000 or ADC-T2000) displays temperature based on your System → Temperature Units setting on the Alarm.com Customer Website. Updating this setting changes the units everywhere: Customer Website, Customer app, and the thermostat display.

Before You Begin

  • The thermostat must be enrolled to your Alarm.com account and online.
  • Changes made on the Customer Website propagate to the app and thermostat shortly after saving.
  • For panel screen temperature format, see your panel’s Change the temperature format (units) guide.

Change Units Remotely (ADC-T3000 & ADC-T2000)

  1. Log into the Customer Website.
  2. Click SettingsAccount ManagementSystem Information.
  3. Under Temperature Units, choose Fahrenheit or Celsius from the dropdown.
  4. Click Update. The thermostat display will update shortly after.

Change Units Locally (ADC-T3000 only)

Note: Local unit change is available on the ADC-T3000 only. For ADC-T2000, use the remote steps above.

  1. Press the thermostat’s menu button.
  2. Select SETTINGSUSERF/C.
  3. Select F (Fahrenheit) or C (Celsius).

Troubleshooting

  • Units didn’t change on the thermostat: Confirm the thermostat is online and has a good Z-Wave/panel connection. Wait a few minutes, then refresh the app.
  • No Temperature Units dropdown: Ensure you’re in Settings → Account Management → System Information on the Customer Website (not just in the app).
  • Panel still shows the old units: The panel’s display format is separate—follow your specific panel’s “Change the temperature format (units)” guide.
