How to Rename Z-Wave Devices Using the Customer Website or App

Z-Wave device names can be updated using the Partner Portal, MobileTech app, Customer Website, or Customer app.

Note: Only the Qolsys IQ Panel and Qolsys IQ Panel 2 can update locally renamed Z-Wave devices to the Partner Portal, MobileTech app, and Customer Website.

To Rename a Z-Wave Device Using the Customer Website

  1. Log into the Customer Website.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Manage Devices.
  4. Click the edit icon () next to the device you wish to rename.
  5. Click Rename Device.
  6. Enter the desired name for the Z-Wave device.
  7. Click OK to save changes.

To Rename a Z-Wave Device Using the Customer App

  1. Log into the Customer App.
  2. Tap the menu icon ().
  3. Tap Manage Devices.
  4. Tap the edit icon () next to the device you wish to rename.
  5. Tap Rename Device.
  6. Enter the desired name for the Z-Wave device.
  7. Tap OK to confirm.
