Enable the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Glass Break Detector

The Qolsys IQ Panel 2 has a built-in glass break detector that is supported by Alarm.com. There is no additional service package add-on required to enable this feature. The panel's glass break detector is enabled using the Qolsys IQ Panel 2, Partner Portal, or MobileTech app. 

Once enabled, the panel glass break detector appears in the customer's equipment list in the next available sensor ID number with the default name Panel Glass Break

To enable the panel glass break detector using the Qolsys IQ Panel 2: 

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Advanced Settings.
  3. Enter the installer code. 
  4. Tap Installation
  5. Tap Installer Settings
  6. Tap to select Panel Glass Break Detector
  7. Enter the device properties. 
  8. Tap Save

To enable the panel glass break detector using the Partner Portal: 

  1. Log into the Partner Portal. 
  2. Find the customer account. 
  3. Click Remote Toolkit
  4. In the Command Catalog, click to expand Sensors
  5. Click Panel Glass Break Sensor
  6. Using the New Value dropdown menu, select Enable
  7. Click Change. Allow a few minutes for the changes to save to the panel. 

To enable the panel glass break detector using the MobileTech app: 

  1. Log into the MobileTech app. 
  2. Find the customer account. 
  3. Tap Remote Toolkit
  4. Tap Command Catalog
  5. Tap to expand Sensors
  6. Tap Panel Glass Break Sensor
  7. Using the New Value dropdown menu, tap to select Enable
  8. Tap Change. Allow a few minutes for the changes to save to the panel.
