Sensors can be programmed to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 remotely using the Partner Portal and MobileTech.

Note: Device partitions can be configured on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 with firmware 2.3.0+. For more information about partitions on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2, see How do multiple partitions work with the Qolsys IQ Panel 2?. 

To remotely program devices using the Partner Portal: 

1. Log into the Partner Portal.
2. Find the customer account.
3. Click Equipment.
4. Click Sensors.
5. In Sensor Management: 
   • To configure an existing device, click Advanced Sensor Settings.

          a. Using the Filter by dropdown menu, select the device to configure. 

          b. Click  for the setting to configure. 
              Note: This section does not include configuring the device's partition. If the device's partition needs to be configured, see To configure an existing device's partition using the Partner Portal. 
          c. Enter the setting's New Value. 

          d. Click Change. 

• To add a new sensor, click Add A Sensor. 

          a. Enter all of the sensor information. 

          b. Click Add Sensor to program the new sensor into the panel. 

• To add multiple sensors at one time, click Bulk Add Sensors. 

          a. Enter the information for each of the sensors. 

          b. Click Add Sensors to program the new sensors into the panel. 
          Note: The option to bulk add sensors is only available on the Partner Portal. 
  6. Once new devices are added, open, close and tamper the device to ensure it is working locally.

To configure an existing device's partition using the Partner Portal:  

1. Log into the Partner Portal.
2. Find the customer account.
3. Click Equipment.
4. Click Change for the device to configure. 
5. Using the Choose an action dropdown menu, select Change Partition. 
6. Using the New Partition dropdown menu, select the partition for the device. 
7. Click Send Command. 

To remotely program devices using the MobileTech app: 

1. Log into the MobileTech app.
2. Find the customer account.
3. Tap Equipment.
4. Tap Sensors.
5. Tap to expand Sensor Actions.
   • To configure an existing device: 

          a. Tap Advanced Sensor Settings. 

• To configure an existing device's partition, tap Change Partition. 

          b. Using the dropdown menu, select the device to configure. 

          c. Tap Edit for the setting to configure. 

          d. Enter the setting's New Value. 

          e. Tap Change. 

• To add a new sensor:

          a. Tap Add a Sensor. 

          b. Enter all of the sensor information. 

          c. Tap Add Sensor to program the new sensor into the panel.

   6. Once new devices are added, open, close and tamper the device to ensure it is working locally.
