Qolsys IQ Panel 2: Enable and Use Weather to Panel
The Weather to Panel feature shows local conditions and an extended 4-day forecast directly on your Qolsys IQ Panel 2. Once enabled on the account, the panel header displays current highs/lows and a tap reveals the multi-day forecast.
Confirm Service Eligibility
Before enabling, verify the customer’s service package includes Weather to Panel using the Partner Portal or MobileTech. If it isn’t selected, add it to the package and save.
Resend or Request Weather Information
Using the Partner Portal
- Log into the Partner Portal and open the customer account.
- Go to Remote Toolkit → Command Catalog → expand General.
- Click Send Weather Info → Send Command. Allow a few minutes for delivery.
Using the MobileTech App
- Log into MobileTech and open the customer account.
- Tap Remote Toolkit → Command Catalog → expand General.
- Tap Send Weather Info → Send Command and wait several minutes.
Viewing Weather on the Panel
- The current day’s high/low appears in the header and settings tray.
- Tap the weather icon to view the extended 4-day forecast on the main panel.
- IQ Remote: shows the current day only; extended forecast appears on the main panel.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Confirm the Weather to Panel add-on is enabled on the service package.
- Use Send Weather Info (Partner Portal/MobileTech) to refresh the panel data.
- Ensure the panel is online (Wi-Fi/dual-path check) and has correct time zone/location settings.
- Power cycle the panel if data still doesn’t populate, then resend weather.
