How to Factory Reset Your SVR Video Device
Resetting an SVR (Stream Video Recorder) or video device to its factory default settings clears all programming and device memory. After a reset, most devices must be removed from the account and re-enrolled to restore full functionality.
Important Pre-Reset Notes
- Wait at least 2 minutes after powering on the device before attempting a reset. If the device is still booting, the reset may fail.
- Be prepared to re-enroll the device into your Alarm.com account after the reset process is complete.
- Once reset, it is normal for the LED to briefly turn off before restarting.
SVR Factory Reset Procedure
- Locate the Reset button on the back of the SVR.
- Press and hold the button until the status LED on the front begins flashing red and green (this usually occurs after about 15 seconds).
- Release the button once the LED flashes red/green rapidly.
- Leave the device powered on and undisturbed for at least 2 minutes to allow the reset to complete.
