How to Install and Connect the ADC-V522IR Indoor Camera
The ADC-V522IR Indoor Fixed Camera with IR can connect to the Internet using Ethernet or Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). This guide covers pre-installation requirements, setup modes, LED indicators, and troubleshooting tips to help you get started quickly.
Pre-Installation Checklist
- ADC-V522IR camera and AC power adapter (included)
- Broadband Internet (Cable, DSL, or Fiber Optic)
- Computer, tablet, or smartphone with Wi-Fi
- Alarm.com account login and password

Connection Methods
The camera supports three setup methods:
- Ethernet Mode
- Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) Mode
- Access Point (AP) Mode
Note: When powered on, allow at least two minutes before pressing any buttons. On first boot, the camera will enter AP mode automatically (flashing white LED).
AP Mode Setup
- Plug in the AC adapter and wait 2 minutes.
- Hold the WPS button until the LED flashes white (~6 seconds).
- On a mobile device, connect to the Wi-Fi network

. - Open a browser and go to
192.168.1.1
. - Select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and click Save.
- Wait for the LED to turn solid green to confirm connection.
- Add the camera to your Alarm.com account via alarm.com/addcamera, the Customer app, or the MobileTech app.
WPS Mode Setup
- Plug in the AC adapter and wait 2 minutes.
- Hold the WPS button until the LED flashes blue (~3 seconds).
- Activate WPS on your router. The LED turns solid green when connected.
- Add the device to your Alarm.com account.
Ethernet Mode Setup
- Connect the camera to your router with an Ethernet cable.
- Plug in the AC adapter and wait for the LED to turn solid green.
- If connection fails, try another router port, power cycle, or use AP/WPS setup.
- Add the device to your Alarm.com account.

Factory Reset
- Press and hold the WPS button for ~15 seconds until the LED flashes green and red.
- Release the button to reboot with factory defaults.
- Remove the device from your Alarm.com account before reinstalling.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Power cycle by unplugging for 1 minute and reconnecting.
- If Wi-Fi fails, retry AP or WPS setup, or use Ethernet temporarily.
