How to Charge the ADC-VDB780B Wireless Video Doorbell Battery

The Alarm.com Wireless Video Doorbell (ADC-VDB780B) battery can be recharged using the supplied micro USB cable and a 5V/1.5A USB wall charger. A fully depleted battery takes approximately 7 hours to charge completely.

Steps to Charge the VDB780B Battery

  1. Unlatch the bottom of the doorbell mount.
  2. Remove the VDB780B from the mount.
  3. Separate the battery pack from the VDB780B body.
  4. Plug the supplied micro USB cable into the battery pack.
  5. Insert the USB end into a wall charger and plug it into a power outlet.
  6. Monitor the charging LED on the top of the battery pack.

Note: The LED will be solid orange while charging and will turn solid green when fully charged.

Best Practices

  • Always charge the battery pack indoors at room temperature.
