Configure the on-board camera

The on-board camera can be configured by your security company using the Partner Portal, MobileTech app, or by the user at the panel with assistance from your security company.

To configure the on-board camera using the panel:

  1. On the home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Enter the installer code.
  3. Tap Installer Toolbox.
  4. Tap Panel programming
  5. Tap Advanced Programming
  6. Tap Panel Configuration
  7. Tap Go Question.
  8. Enter 304 for On-Board Camera
  9. Tap to select either:
    • Enabled  - Turns the on-board camera on to use panel features (i.e., photo snapshot and face recognition).
    • Disabled - Turns the on-board camera off. All features using on-board camera will be unavailable.
  10. Once all desired changes have been made, tap The EDGE back arrow.PNG to save and exit panel programming.

To set up photo capture settings:

On 2GIG EDGE panels with firmware 1.1+, disarm images can be captured if the customer's service package includes Images and Disarming events is enabled in panel settings.

The number of events captures and uploaded depends on the customer's service package. Contact True Protection @ 888-793-0079 to verify your package includes event captures.

Note: Even if Alarm events are enabled locally, they cannot be captured at this time.

  1. On the home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Enter the installer or master code.
  3. Tap On-Board Camera
  4. For Photo Capture Settings, tap Details
  5. Tap the toggle switch for the events to enable or disable photo captures for it.
  6. At the bottom of the screen on panel firmware version 1.2+, verify the Upload captured images to Cloud checkbox is selected. This allows photos to be uploaded to Alarm.com.
  7. Once complete, tap  to save and exit panel programming.

Note: Secondary keypads (2GIG-EDG-RK) can also be configured to upload images to Alarm.com using the preceding steps at the keypad to enable.
