User code compatibility by panel

The following table lists the user code compatibility by panel models and notes any firmware (FW) version requirements. The Number of digits in a code is the number of digits supported by Alarm.com to be in a user code.

Note: If a panel (i.e., NX or DSC PowerSeries) supports more digits and is changed locally to use more digits than what Alarm.com supports, there will be unexpected behavior.

Additional considerations

All user codes on a system must be the same length. For example, if a panel was updated from 4-digit to 6-digit user codes in programming, all current user codes add 00 at the end of each code.
Both 4-digit and 6-digit user code lengths are compatible with being updated remotely from Alarm.com.
