The Yale Real Living Key Free Touchscreen Deadbolt with Z-Wave Plus requires four AA Alkaline batteries.

To replace the batteries in a Yale Real Living Key Free Touchscreen Deadbolt with Z-Wave Plus (YRD156):

1. Remove the battery cover.
   
   
    
2. Insert four new AA batteries.
   
   
    
3. Reinstall the battery cover.
