How to Update Wi-Fi Information for a LiftMaster MyQ Smart Garage Hub

If your wireless network name or password changes after installing a LiftMaster 821LM, 821LMB, 821LMC-S, or MyQ-G0301, you’ll need to update the Wi-Fi information on the hub. This ensures continued remote access and operation of your smart garage system through the Alarm.com or MyQ platform.

Steps to Update the Wi-Fi Information

  1. Clear the existing Wi-Fi settings on the hub by pressing and holding the Settings button for approximately six seconds, until the blue LED begins flashing.
  2. Power cycle the Wi-Fi Hub by unplugging it from the power source, waiting 30 seconds, and then reconnecting it.
  3. Reconnect the hub to your new Wi-Fi network by following the setup process in your app or web browser. For full setup instructions, see the guide below.

For detailed reconnection steps, visit the Connected Home Automation page on True Protection for smart device setup and network configuration tips.
