How to Factory Reset a LiftMaster/Chamberlain Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener

When a factory reset is performed, all remote controls and keyless entry codes are erased from the garage door opener. The remotes and keyless entry will need to be reprogrammed before use.

Factory Reset Instructions

  1. Press and hold the LEARN button on the garage door opener until the LEARN LED goes out (approximately 6–8 seconds).
  2. Immediately press and hold the LEARN button again until the LEARN LED goes out.
  3. Immediately press and hold the LEARN button a third time until the LEARN LED goes out.
  4. You should hear three quick beeps. This confirms that all codes, MyQ accessories, and built-in gateway settings have been erased.

Note: After resetting, you must reprogram your remote controls, keypads, and reconnect MyQ accessories.
