Battery Requirements

The Radio Thermostat CT110 requires four AA alkaline batteries.

Special Thermostat Battery Cautions

  • Replace the batteries as soon as the low battery indicator appears.
  • Always replace the batteries at least once a year to prevent leakage or corrosion damage.
  • If leaving your home for a month or longer, replace the batteries as a precaution.
  • Only use new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
  • Failure to replace batteries can result in heating or cooling system failure and possible damage to your HVAC system.
  • If the thermostat loses power, it will not control temperature, leading to risks such as frozen pipes or excessive heat.

How to Replace the Batteries

  1. Remove the back cover from the thermostat.
  2. Install four new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity:
    • Insert the negative end first (against the spring).
    • Push the positive end into place.
  3. Reinstall the back cover securely.
  4. The CT110 will automatically power on in the OFF mode.

Note: Failing to replace batteries promptly can cause thermostat malfunction or complete power loss. Regular maintenance ensures consistent heating and cooling control.
