Kwikset 910 Deadbolt Battery Replacement Guide

The Kwikset 910 Deadbolt (SmartCode Deadbolt 99100) requires four AA batteries to operate. Keeping fresh batteries installed ensures your Z-Wave smart lock remains reliable and responsive.

Steps to Replace the Batteries

  1. Remove the lock cover from the interior panel.
  2. Take out the battery pack.
  3. Insert four new AA alkaline batteries into the battery pack.
  4. Slide the battery pack back into the lock panel.
  5. Reinstall the lock cover securely.

Important: If the low battery warning does not automatically clear from the customer’s equipment list, request an updated status from the lock using the Partner Portal or MobileTech app.
