Incompatible Device trouble condition - Alarm.com Smart Thermostat

The Incompatible Device trouble condition appears when an Alarm.com Smart Thermostat is connected to a 2GIG GC3 panel on an incompatible firmware version. 

2GIG GC3

The trouble condition that appears reads,  Your panel does not support the Alarm.com Smart Thermostat. Please upgrade to version 3.0.1 to enable functionality. 

This panel can be updated remotely using the Partner Portal or locally at the panel.

To upgrade through the Partner Portal:
  1. Log into the Partner Portal using a login with update permissions.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Click Remote Toolkit.
  4. Under Command Catalog, click to expand General.
  5. Click Upgrade Firmware.
  6. Using the Version to upgrade to dropdown menu, select the appropriate firmware version.
  7. Click to select I Agree to the charges listed above.
  8. Click Upgrade.

Note: Upgrading this panel's firmware remotely has an associated cost, and will take from 3 to 12 hours depending on panel signaling.

To upgrade locally at the panel, contact the panel manufacturer for specific instruction.
