How to Install and Connect the ADC-VC725 Mini Bullet Camera
The ADC-VC725 Mini Bullet Camera from Alarm.com is a compact, high-performance security camera designed for both residential and commercial installations. With its IP66-rated dust-resistant housing and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capabilities, it delivers reliable HD video monitoring indoors and outdoors.
Pre-Setup Checklist
- ADC-VC725 camera (included)
- AC power adapter (required for non-PoE connections)
- Broadband Internet (Cable, DSL, or Fiber Optic) with router
- Computer or mobile device with Internet access
- Ethernet/Cat5 cable
- Alarm.com account login and password

Adding the Camera to an Alarm.com Account
Before mounting, connect the camera and enroll it to the Alarm.com account:
- Connect the camera to the router via an Ethernet cable.
For details on PoE connections, see PoE setup guide. - If Ethernet does not supply power, connect the camera to an AC power adapter and plug it into a non-switched outlet.
- Wait at least two minutes for the camera to establish an Internet connection.
- Add the device to the Alarm.com account using one of the following methods:
- MobileTech app
- Customer app Video Installation Wizard
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.
- Once enrolled, power down the camera and install it permanently using the included mounting hardware.
Troubleshooting
If the ADC-VC725 does not connect properly:
- Power cycle the camera by unplugging and reconnecting it.
- If issues persist, reset the camera to factory defaults:
Factory Reset Instructions
- Disconnect the camera from the power source.
- Unscrew and remove the camera cover carefully to avoid damaging the wires.
- Locate the Reset button under the cover.
- Press and hold the Reset button while reconnecting power.
- Continue holding the button for 10 seconds, then release.
After a reset, it is recommended to leave the camera powered on and undisturbed for at least two minutes.
