Alarm.com video monitoring services are available as a standalone video account or as a selected add-on for customers with an interactive service package. Most video service packages also support expansion packs that increase the number of cameras and clips that an account can have.
Note: Doorbell cameras, video devices, and video servers are all counted in the video service package allotments. Networking devices (e.g., Smart Gateways, PoE to Wi-Fi Bridges, etc.) are not counted. SVRs/CSVRs use a separate service package.
Video as a standalone account
A standard activation fee applies to most Standalone video (SAV) accounts. An SAV account is an account that only uses a video monitoring add-on without any other security features. No security panel is required for this type of account.
Note: Additional video monitoring add-ons can be added to SAV accounts. For more information, see Additional video monitoring add-ons.
The following are the available SAV service packages:
- Premium Video — Includes the Premium Video add-on
- Pro Video — Includes the Pro Video add-on
- Pro Video Plus — Includes the Pro Video add-on and a Pro Video expansion pack
- Pro Video with Analytics 3000 — Includes the Pro Video with Analytics 3000 add-on
- Commercial Video 4 — Includes the Commercial Video 4 add-on
- Commercial Video 8 — Includes the Commercial Video 8 add-on
- Commercial Video 16 — Includes the Commercial Video 16 add-on
Video monitoring add-ons
Video monitoring can be added to any interactive service package (i.e., Interactive Gold, Commercial, etc.). Video products are compatible with all Alarm.com compatible security panels since the communication is through the internet connection at the customer's location.
