Alarm.com for Fire TV App: Stream Security Cameras on Your TV
The Alarm.com for Fire TV app delivers a video-focused experience optimized for viewing from the couch. Customers can view up to four camera streams at once on a large screen, with the option to rotate feeds automatically for accounts with more than four cameras.

- Up to four simultaneous camera streams.
- Automatic feed rotation every 10, 20, 30, or 60 seconds.
- Optimized high-definition display for Fire TV and Fire Stick devices.
Compatibility
- Fire TV and Fire Stick: All versions supported.
- Supported Cameras: Most Alarm.com cameras, except doorbell cameras.
- Two-Way Audio: Not supported. If port forwarding is enabled for a Two-Way Audio camera, disable the microphone and speaker.
- The app can be installed on multiple Fire TVs or Fire Sticks under the same account.
- If cameras are port forwarded, they don’t need to be on the same Wi-Fi network as the Fire TV. Otherwise, both must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Installing the App
From a Fire TV or Fire Stick
- Plug the Fire TV Stick into a compatible TV and complete the setup wizard.
- From the Home Screen, press left on the remote to highlight the Search (spotlight) icon and press Select.
- Type Alarm and select Alarm.com from the results.
- Under Apps & Games, select Alarm.com Video.
- Press Select to download, then launch the app once installed.
From a Web Browser
- Plug in the Fire TV Stick and complete setup.
- Log into the user’s Amazon account on a computer.
- Go to Departments → Appstore for Android → All Apps and Games.
- Search for Alarm.com Video and select it.
- Choose the correct Fire TV device in the Deliver to: dropdown, then click Get App.
- The app installs automatically on the Fire TV device.
Note: If the app doesn’t appear in the Fire TV App Library, sync Amazon content via Menu → Settings → My Account → Sync Amazon Content.
Logging Into the App
- Launch the Alarm.com Video app from the App Library.
- On a mobile device or computer, go to alarm.com/ActivateTV or scan the QR code provided.
- Log in with your Alarm.com credentials.
- Enter the 6-digit activation code displayed on the TV and click Submit.
Changing App Settings
Refresh a Timed-Out Feed
- Press the Menu button on the remote.
- Select Refresh streams to reload all camera feeds.
Adjust Camera Rotation Frequency
- Press Menu on the remote.
- Select Settings → choose desired rotation frequency (10, 20, 30, or 60 seconds).
Switch Between Linked Accounts
- Press Menu on the remote.
- Select Select Account and choose the desired account.
Lock/Unlock a Camera Feed
- Navigate to the desired feed and press Menu.
- Select Lock frame. Repeat to Unlock.
Log Out of the App
- Press Menu on the remote.
- Select Log Out.

FAQs
Does the Fire TV app support doorbell cameras?
No. Doorbell cameras are not supported on the Alarm.com for Fire TV app.
Can I use Two-Way Audio with Fire TV?
No. Fire TV and Fire Stick do not support Two-Way Audio. If your camera supports it, disable the microphone and speaker when using this app.
