Alarm.com for Android TV App: Setup & Features
The Alarm.com for Android TV app brings a video-first experience directly to your TV. Stream live video from compatible cameras on a large HD display with a user interface designed for viewing from the couch. Up to four camera streams can display simultaneously, with optional automatic rotation for larger camera systems.

Compatibility
- All hardware/software versions of Android TV that support Alarm.com.
- Almost all Alarm.com cameras are supported (except doorbell cameras).
- Cameras can be viewed remotely if port forwarding is enabled. Without port forwarding, the TV and cameras must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Installing the App
Option 1: From Android TV
- From the home screen, select Apps.
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for Alarm.com.
- Select Alarm.com Video and press Install.
- When complete, select Open and follow login instructions.
Option 2: From a Web Browser
- On your computer, open a browser and go to the Google Play Store.
- Search for Alarm.com.
- Select Alarm.com Video and click Install.
- Open the app from your Android TV interface and log in with your Alarm.com account.
Changing App Settings
- Refresh streams: Long-press the remote’s middle button → Refresh streams.
- Adjust rotation frequency: Long-press → Settings → choose rotation interval (10, 20, 30, or 60 seconds).
- Switch accounts: Long-press → Select account → choose the desired account.
- Lock a camera view: Navigate to feed → Long-press → Lock frame. Unlock by repeating and choosing Unlock frame.
- Log out: Long-press → Log out.

Can I use Two-Way Audio on Android TV?
No. Two-Way Audio is not supported on Android TV devices.
How many cameras can I view at once?
You can display four streams simultaneously. If you have more than four, feeds will rotate based on your chosen interval.
Do I need port forwarding?
Only if your cameras and Android TV are on different networks. If port forwarded, remote viewing is supported without needing to share the same Wi-Fi.
