Stream live video from Alarm.com cameras to the IQ Remote
Alarm.com customers with a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 and IQ Remote can view live streams from their compatible Alarm.com video cameras using both the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 and IQ Remote screens.
Feature requirements
To stream live video from the IQ Remote, users must:
- Live video streaming on the main Qolsys IQ Panel 2 must be configured properly. For more information about configuring the main panel with live video streaming, see Stream live video from Alarm.com cameras on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2.
- Have a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 on firmware version 2.4.0+.
- Enable live video streaming for the IQ Remote in panel programming.
Important considerations
When live video is initiated from the IQ Remote
- The live video stream also appears on the main panel but not on other connected IQ Remotes. Additionally, only one IQ Remote can stream video at a time.
- The live video stream does not have audio.
- Doorbell-to-panel notifications do not appear on the IQ Remote. For more information, see Enable Doorbell Camera notifications to Qolsys IQ Panel 2.
When live video is initiated from the Qolsys IQ Panel 2
- The live video stream appears only on the main panel and functions as described in Stream live video from Alarm.com cameras on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2.
To enable video streaming on the IQ Remote locally:
- Go to the home screen of the main panel.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Advanced Settings.
- Enter the installer code.
- Tap Installation.
- Tap Installer Settings.
- Tap to enable Stream Live Video Cameras to IQ Remote.
Enable video streaming on the IQ Remote remotely
To enable video streaming on the IQ Remote using the Partner Portal:
- Log into the Partner Portal.
- Find the customer account.
- Click Remote Toolkit.
- In Command Catalog, click to expand General.
- Click Stream Live Video Cameras to IQ Remote.
- Using the New Value dropdown menu, select Enable.
- Click Change.
To enable video streaming on the IQ Remote using the MobileTech app:
- Log into the MobileTech app.
- Find the customer account.
- Tap Remote Toolkit.
- Tap Command Catalog.
- Tap to expand General.
- Tap Stream Live Video Cameras to IQ Remote.
- Using the New Value dropdown menu, select Enable.
- Tap Change.
