Doorbell Camera: How to Adjust Call Volume

You can change how loud an active doorbell call sounds from your Alarm.com doorbell camera. Use either the Customer Website or the Customer app to set the preferred volume level.

Adjust Call Volume on the Customer Website

  1. Log into the Customer Website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. From the Video Device dropdown, select your doorbell camera.
  5. Click Video Device Info.
  6. Use the Call Volume slider to set your preferred level.
  7. Click Save.

Adjust Call Volume in the Customer App

  1. Log into the Customer app.
  2. Tap the menu icon.
  3. Tap Doorbell Camera.
  4. Tap the settings icon.
  5. Use the Call Volume slider to adjust the doorbell call volume.
  6. Tap Save (or confirm) to apply changes.

Tips

  • If calls are still hard to hear, verify your mobile device’s system volume and Do Not Disturb settings.
  • For multi-user households, each user can set their own notification and call preferences in their account.

Will changing call volume affect motion or push notifications?

No. Call volume controls the loudness of an active doorbell call; notification volume is managed by your phone’s settings.

Why can’t I find the Call Volume slider?

Make sure you selected the doorbell camera under Video Device and then opened Video Device Info.
