Follow the steps on this page to ensure that the ADC-VDB770 operates the way it should.

Before enrollment

Verify the original chime and doorbell button function properly 

Ring the doorbell before starting the installation to ensure the system functions properly.

Verify the internet bandwidth is sufficient for the device

The ADC-VDB770 requires at least 2.5 Mbps upload speed at the location the device is to be installed. For more information about bandwidth requirements for video devices, see What are the internet service and bandwidth requirements for Alarm.com video devices?.

Verify the transformer meets the device's power requirements

*Important: The power module included with the ADC-VDB770 is required for every installation. For more information about the power module, see Power module for the ADC-VDB770 - User Guide.

Install the power module

Enrolling the ADC-VDB770 to the account

The enrollment process for the ADC-VDB770 is similar to enrolling other Alarm.com video devices.

Using the MobileTech app:

1. Log into the MobileTech app.
2. Find the customer account.
3. Tap to expand Quick Actions.
4. Tap Add Device.
5. Tap Video.
6. In the Enter MAC Address field, enter the MAC address.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the enrollment process.

Using the Customer app:

1. Log into the Customer app.
2. Tap .
3. Tap + Add Device.
4. Tap Video Camera.
5. In the Enter MAC Address field, enter the MAC address.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the enrollment process.

Using the Customer Website:

1. Log into the Customer Website.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Manage Devices.
4. Click Add Device.
5. Click Video Camera.
6. Click Install on the device to be installed, or in the Enter MAC Address field, enter the MAC address.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the enrollment process.

After enrollment

Select the appropriate chime setting

Using the Partner Portal:

1. Log into the Partner Portal.
2. Find the customer account.
3. Click Equipment.
4. Click Video Devices.
5. Using the Video Device dropdown menu, select the desired video device. 
6. Using the Chime Type dropdown menu, select the appropriate chime.

Using the Customer Website:

1. Log into the Customer Website.
2. Click Video.
3. Click Settings.
4. Using the Video Device dropdown menu, select the desired video device.
5. Click Video Device Info.
6. Using the Chime Type dropdown menu, select the appropriate chime type. For more information about identifying what type of chime the ADC-VDB770 is connected to, see What types of chimes are compatible with the ADC-VDB770?.
7. Click Save.

Using the Customer app:

1. Log into the Customer app.
2. Tap .
3. Tap Doorbell Camera.
4. Tap .
5. Using the Chime Type dropdown menu, select the appropriate chime type. For more information about identifying what type of chime the ADC-VDB770 is connected to, see What types of chimes are compatible with the ADC-VDB770?.
6. Tap .

Select the appropriate mounting bracket

Using the Customer Website:

1. Log into the Customer Website.
2. Click Video.
3. Click Settings.
4. Using the Video Device dropdown menu, select the desired video device.
5. Click Video Device Info.
6. Using the Wedge Type dropdown menu, select the appropriate mounting bracket. Each mounting bracket has a letter printed on its back that corresponds with its type.
7. Click Save.

Using the Customer app:

1. Log into the Customer app.
2. Tap .
3. Tap Doorbell Camera.
4. Tap .
5. Using the Wedge Type dropdown menu, select the appropriate mounting bracket. Each mounting bracket has a letter printed on its back that corresponds with its type.
6. Tap .
