SkyBell Doorbell Camera LED is flashing orange

A flashing orange LED state indicates the SkyBell Doorbell Camera does not have a network connection. This is often caused by incorrect wireless information or poor wireless range.

To troubleshoot a flashing orange LED on a SkyBell Doorbell Camera:

Note: If the customer's Wi-Fi information or hardware has changed recently, see Reconnect a SkyBell Doorbell Camera if the wireless network or router changes.

  1. Reboot the SkyBell Doorbell Camera. Allow a few minutes for the video device to power back on reestablish its connection to the Wi-Fi network. For more information about how to reboot the SkyBell Doorbell Camera, see Reboot or factory reset a SkyBell Doorbell Camera
  2. If it continues to flash orange, press and hold the SkyBell Doorbell Camera button until it goes into Access Point (AP) mode (i.e., blinking red and green).
  3. Use the installation wizard to enroll the SkyBell Doorbell Camera using the Customer or MobileTech app.
To enroll the SkyBell Doorbell Camera using the MobileTech app:
  1. Log into the MobileTech app.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Tap Equipment.
  4. Tap Video Devices.
  5. Tap Add Video Device.
  6. Tap Log In As User To Mobile App.
  7. Proceed through the installation wizard. For more information about enrolling the SkyBell Doorbell Camera, see SkyBell Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB101/102/105/106/105x/106x) - Installation Guide.
To enroll the SkyBell Doorbell Camera using the Customer app:
  1. Log into the Customer app.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Doorbell Camera.
  4. Tap Add.

    Note: If there is already a SkyBell Doorbell Camera enrolled on the account, tap Configure then Add Camera.
     
  5. Tap the desired device.
  6. Proceed through the installation wizard. For more information about enrolling the SkyBell Doorbell Camera, see SkyBell Doorbell Camera (ADC-VDB101/102/105/106/105x/106x) - Installation Guide.
If the device fails to enroll
  1. Verify the Wi-Fi password is correct. This can be tested by attempting to log onto the Wi-Fi network using a different device (e.g., mobile phone or tablet).
  2. Verify that the network meets the SkyBell Doorbell Camera's requirements. For more information about the SkyBell Doorbell Camera's network requirements, see What are the network requirements of the SkyBell Doorbell Cameras?.
  3. Factory reset the SkyBell Doorbell Camera. Press and hold the [Skybell] button for approximately 80 seconds until it starts flashing yellow. For more information, see Reboot or factory reset a SkyBell Doorbell Camera.
  4. If the configuration fails at 10%, see SkyBell Doorbell Camera installation stops and fails at 10 percent.
