How to Live Stream with the SkyBell Doorbell Camera

The SkyBell Doorbell Camera allows homeowners to live stream video, talk to visitors at their door, and even control connected smart devices. Streaming can be done through the Alarm.com Customer app or a Qolsys IQ Panel 2, giving you a secure way to monitor and manage your entryways in real time.

Requirements for Live Streaming

• Customer app on an Apple or Android device. To use two-way audio, the mobile device must have microphone permissions enabled.
• Qolsys IQ Panel 2 with proper settings enabled.

With the latest firmware, up to two users can view the doorbell video call screen simultaneously. 

Starting a Video Call

1. Log into the Customer app.
2. Tap the Menu icon.
3. Tap Doorbell Camera.
4. Tap the video feed to begin the call.
5. Use the on-screen controls to talk, listen, and manage devices.

Controlling Devices During a Live Call

One of the most powerful features of the SkyBell Doorbell Camera is the ability to control smart devices directly from the video call screen.

While on a live video call, tap Actions to access device controls:

• Security system: Arm away, arm stay, or disarm
• Locks: Lock or unlock doors
• Garage doors: Open or close
• Lights: Turn on or off
• Access control doors: Lock, unlock, or buzz open (Customer app only)
