Zamel TRM-12 Transformer for SkyBell Doorbell Cameras

In regions where 220–240 V AC 50/60 Hz is used, Alarm.com has tested and certified the Zamel TRM-12 transformer for powering compatible SkyBell Doorbell Cameras. Its 12 V AC / 15 VA rating provides the necessary power to ensure reliable functionality of the doorbell’s components.

Note: While 16 V AC is typically recommended, the Zamel TRM-12 allows SkyBell Doorbell Cameras to work with existing lower voltage chimes.

How to Wire the Zamel TRM-12 to a SkyBell Camera

Caution: Always work on a non-energized electrical circuit. Confirm no one is working with or near live wiring. If surface mounting, install the included protection shield so the 230 V AC input terminals are covered.

  1. Connect mains/live 220–240 V AC input power to the 230 V AC input (supply) terminals on the top left corner of the unit.
  2. Connect the doorbell wiring to the 12 V AC output (load) terminals on the bottom right corner.
  3. Connect the opposite end of the wiring to the doorbell camera and chime according to the SkyBell installation guide.
