How to Install and Connect the ADC-VC736 Indoor/Outdoor Bullet Camera
The ADC-VC736 Indoor/Outdoor Bullet Camera delivers reliable high-definition video with flexible installation options. This guide covers the pre-setup checklist, setup steps, and troubleshooting tips.
Pre-Setup Checklist
- ADC-VC736 camera (included)
- AC power adapter (required for non-PoE connections)
- Broadband Internet (Cable, DSL, or Fiber Optic) with router
- A computer or mobile device with Internet access
- Ethernet/Cat5 cable
- Alarm.com account login and password

Add the Camera to an Alarm.com Account
Complete the enrollment steps before mounting the camera in its final location:
- Connect the camera to the router using an Ethernet cable.
For details about Power-over-Ethernet, see Power-over-Ethernet setup guide. - If Ethernet does not provide power, connect the camera to an AC adapter (sold separately) and plug into a non-switched outlet.
- Wait a few minutes for the camera to establish an Internet connection.
- Add the device to the Alarm.com account via one of these methods:
- MobileTech app
- Customer app Video Installation Wizard
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
- Once the camera is enrolled, power it down and install it in its permanent location using the included hardware.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues connecting the camera:
- Power cycle the camera by unplugging and reconnecting it.
- If problems persist, reset the camera to factory defaults:
- Disconnect the camera from power.
- Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the water-tight door on the bottom of the camera.
- Locate the Reset button.
- Press and hold the Reset button while reconnecting power.
- Continue holding for 10 seconds, then release.
