View Sensor Signal Strength on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2
You can view wireless sensor RF health through the Partner Portal or MobileTech. This guide covers the hardware requirements and the steps to retrieve both Latest Sensor Signal Strength and Average Sensor Signal Strength for each device.
Requirements
- Qolsys IQ Panel 2 running firmware 2.3.0+
- Security RF daughtercard with hardware revision above 0 (Rev 1 or later)
Verify the Security RF Daughtercard Revision on the Panel
- Tap Settings → Advanced Settings.
- Tap About → Hardware.
- Check RF PIC Version. The number after the letter indicates the daughtercard revision.

Note: The Security RF daughtercard can be replaced. Contact the manufacturer for hardware service.
View Sensor Signal Strength via Partner Portal
- Log into the Partner Portal and open the customer account.
- Go to Equipment → Sensors.
- Click Advanced Sensor Settings.
- Use Filter by to select the sensor.
- Click Upload Filtered Device to request current info (allow a few minutes).
- Review Latest Sensor Signal Strength and Average Sensor Signal Strength.
View Sensor Signal Strength via MobileTech
- Log into the MobileTech app and open the customer account.
- Tap Equipment → Sensors.
- Tap Sensor Actions → Advanced Sensor Settings.
- Select the sensor from the dropdown.
- Tap Upload Sensor Settings (allow a few minutes).
- Review Latest Sensor Signal Strength and Average Sensor Signal Strength.
Tip: If signal strength is consistently low, consider relocating the sensor, reducing interference (metal, mirrors, large appliances), or adding compatible repeaters for other RF types on-site. Ensure batteries are fresh and seated properly.
