View sensor signal strength for the Qolsys IQ Panel 2

Sensor signal strength for the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 can be viewed using the Partner Portal and MobileTech app.

Requirements 

This feature is only available for newer hardware. The user must have: 

  • Qolsys IQ Panel 2 with firmware version 2.3.0+ 
  • Security RF daughtercard with hardware revision above 0
    • To verify the system's security RF daughtercard using the Qolsys IQ Panel 2:
      1. Tap Settings.
      2. Tap Advanced Settings.
      3. Tap About.
      4. Tap Hardware.
      5. Verify the RF PIC Version. The number immediately after the letter denotes the daughtercard version. For example:
        • 10.2.9-G(Rev 0) - Not supported
        • 10.2.12-G0 (Rev 0) - Not supported
        • 10.2.15-G1 (Rev 1) - Supported
        • 11.1.1-G2 (Rev 2) - Supported

Note: The Security RF daughtercard can be replaced in the Qolsys IQ Panel 2. For more information about replacing the Security RF daughtercard, contact Qolsys. 

To view sensor signal strength using the Partner Portal: 

  1. Log into the Partner Portal. 
  2. Find the customer account. 
  3. Click Equipment
  4. Click Sensors
  5. In Sensor Management, click Advanced Sensor Settings
  6. Using the Filter by dropdown menu, select the sensor to view. 
  7. Tap Upload Filtered Device to request the sensor's current information. Allow a few minutes for the results to update. 
  8. View sensor signal strength information in the settings called Latest Sensor Signal Strength and Average Sensor Signal Strength. 

To view sensor signal strength using the MobileTech app: 

  1. Log into the MobileTech app. 
  2. Find the customer account. 
  3. Tap Equipment
  4. Tap Sensors
  5. Tap Sensor Actions
  6. Tap Advanced Sensor Settings
  7. Using the dropdown menu, select the sensor to view. 
  8. Tap Upload Sensor Settings to request the sensor's current information. Allow a few minutes for the results to update. 
  9. View sensor signal strength information in the settings called Latest Sensor Signal Strength and Average Sensor Signal Strength.
